Lusine Gevorgyan is a Data Science student at the American University of Armenia, specializing in the Bioinformatics track. She joined ABI in 2025 as a research assistant after completing the OMICSS-25 summer school. Prior to officially joining the institute, Lusine participated in several ABI courses, including Molecular Biology, Advanced Molecular Biology, and Machine Learning for Bioinformatics, which helped her build a strong foundation in the field. Currently, she works in the Binder Lab, where she is involved in grapevine research focusing on population genomics. Her work includes analyzing genetic variation and population structure in grapevine to better understand their diversity and evolutionary history.
In addition to these research activities, her scientific interests include computational biology, genomics, and data-driven approaches to studying biological systems.
