ABI in 2025: A Year of Growth, Collaboration, and Impact

In our 2025 Annual Report, we are pleased to share the key achievements and milestones of the past year. 2025 was marked by continued growth, strengthened international collaborations, and major advances in research, training, and infrastructure.

A major highlight of the year was the expansion of our research partnerships with academic and industry collaborators across Europe and the United States. Through collaborations with partners such as Agenus, Vivan Therapeutics, EPFL, and Caltech, ABI contributed advanced bioinformatics analyses to projects in cancer genomics, microbiome research, and precision medicine.

Another important milestone was the completion of our new Research and Training Center at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB). The two-floor facility now serves as ABI’s first dedicated physical base, providing modern workspaces and training rooms for our growing team and programs.

In 2025, ABI researchers published 9 scientific papers covering telomere biology, cancer heterogeneity, microbiome dynamics, grape genomics, and spatial transcriptomics.

Education and training remained central to our mission. The OMICSS-25 Summer School brought together 17 participants from Armenia and Europe, supported by 13 lecturers and 18 mentors. Students worked on research projects in cancer genomics, microbiome analysis, and plant genomics, and many continued their involvement with ABI through further research and training.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to expanding our research, partnerships, and training programs. We are grateful to our partners, donors, and team members whose support makes this work possible, and we look forward to another year of progress.
